Package Overview

Package selection guidance compiled from public package information, community data, and project usage.

AnimatedRoute is a Flutter package that enables smooth, customizable screen transitions with animations. Designed for both Android and iOS, it simplifies the process of adding visual flair to navigation by allowing developers to define enter and exit animations between routes. The package integrates seamlessly into existing Flutter apps without requiring complex setup. It supports common animation types and provides a clean API for controlling timing, curves, and direction. Ideal for enhancing user experience in apps where fluid navigation matters.

Use cases

  • App onboarding flows
  • Screen transitions in dashboards
  • Interactive navigation patterns
  • Enhancing app polish with visual feedback
  • Custom page routing with animation

Key features

  • Cross-platform support (Android & iOS)
  • Simple API for defining animations
  • Supports enter/exit animation customization
  • Built-in animation curves
  • Lightweight and easy integration

Suitable for

  • Developers seeking smooth navigation
  • Apps focused on user experience
  • Design-driven applications
  • Flutter beginners learning transitions
  • Projects needing polished route changes

Considerations

  • Limited to basic animation types

Pull Requests

I welcome and encourage all pull requests. It usually will take me within 24-48 hours to respond to any issue or request. Here are some basic rules to follow to ensure timely addition of your request:

  1. Match coding style (braces, spacing, etc.) This is best achieved using Reformat Code feature of Android Studio CMD+Option+L on Mac and CTRL + ALT + L on Linux + Windows .
  2. If its a feature, bugfix, or anything please only change code to what you specify.
  3. Please keep PR titles easy to read and descriptive of changes, this will make them easier to merge :)
  4. Pull requests must be made against develop branch. Any other branch (unless specified by the maintainers) will get rejected.
  5. Check for existing issues first, before filing an issue.
  6. Make sure you follow the set standard as all other projects in this repo do
  7. Have fun!
