Package Overview

Package selection guidance compiled from public package information, community data, and project usage.

The update_notification package helps Flutter apps determine if the user is running the latest version by checking against a remote configuration file. It supports Android, iOS, and macOS platforms, enabling developers to prompt users to update when a newer version is available. The package fetches version details from a specified URL, compares them with the current app version, and triggers notifications or alerts accordingly. Ideal for maintaining app quality and ensuring users benefit from recent improvements and security fixes.
